Signed by the New York Yankees before the 1949 season as an amateur free agent. "The Commerce Comet" patrolled centerfield for the New York Yankees an amazing 18 years, spanning over 2,000 games. The switch-hitting slugger overcame a myriad of injuries to become one of the greatest centerfielders to ever play the game. The card's pack-fresh corners, phenomenal surface gloss and crisp back-printing complete the item's status as a visual delight. A thoroughly commendable example, in unique Mint condition.
