Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Hall of Famer. This is one of just three examples at its tier (with none graded higher) among a total of 56 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting. With the quantum leap in golf's popularity over the last several years, it's not surprising that images of the game's patriarchs are hotly pursued, as well. There's little disagreement today that Bobby Jones was the incomparable champion of the game through the 1920's. An amateur who never aspired to professional status, Jones captured innumerable titles, but his crowning achievement was designing Augusta National. This beautiful commerative displays spotless surfaces, front and back, and its centering alignment is virtually perfect. Of particular note, too, is this card's unassailable imagery. The red background is bright and pure, providing ideal contrast for the exactly registered countenance of the links immortal, a figure described by the period's famed sportswriter Grantland Rice as that, "...of an angel, with a temper like a timber wolf." Superb Mint condition.

1932 U.S. Caramel #3 Bobby Jones – PSA MINT 9 "1 of 3!"
