After rushing for 1,084 yards in 2006, the Dallas Cowboys looked to have Emmitt Smith’s successor on their hands in Julius Jones, a talented back out of Notre Dame. Jones wouldn’t reach Smith’s level, but was a quality back in the NFL for eight seasons.
This white, game used Julius Jones Dallas Cowboys jersey comes from a 2007 season that saw the tailback muster 588 yards and two touchdowns while helping the team to a 13-3 record. The jersey features Jones’ number “21” on the front, back and shoulders, all in Cowboys blue tackle twill. “J. JONES” appears across the back of the jersey in Cowboys blue tackle twill on a white name plate. The sleeves of the jersey, which both feature blue stitched Reebok logos, have several repair patches present on the inside. The inside collar of the fitted mesh jersey features a white strip tag that reads “07-46,” indicating the jersey’s year and size. A “PROVA GROUP” tag is also pressed onto the inside collar of the jersey. The chest of the jersey above Jones’ number “21” features a stitched hole used to help prevent the jersey from ripping. The jersey exhibits moderate evidence of game use and comes with certification from Steiner Sports Memorabilia.
