Official American League baseball (circa 1920-24) has been signed by fourteen players in bold black steel tip fountain pen acquired in person at a game between the two teams in 1925. Washington Senators: Walter Johnson, Goose Goslin (signed only Goslin), Stanley (Bucky) Harris, Harold (Muddy) Ruel, Joe Judge, Al Schacht, and former player Otto Williams all penned their names on the ball. Detroit Tigers: Ty Cobb, Heinie Manush, Topper Rigney, Earl Whitehill, Ken Holloway, Jesse Doyle, and Larry Woodall. The baseball remains in almost new condition with only light amounts of visible soiling, and very bold stampings. Also, the signatures are exceptionally bold rating ("8-9"). This is one of the strongest baseballs of this era we have seen in some time, with the Walter Johnson and Ty Cobb signatures being exceptionally nice. Full LOA from JSA #B19449.
