When it came to sports and music in the 1960s, no pair could rival the popularity of boxer Muhammad Ali and the craze caused worldwide by the sound of The Beatles. To see the two icons from different realms together in a photo is quite spectacular. That rare combination happened in 1964 when The Beatles visited Ali’s training camp in Miami one week prior to his huge title win over Sonny Liston. The 20x24-inch black-and-white photo features a Cassius Clay signature in bold, blue Sharpie on the chest of George Harrison, who Ali is jokingly hitting with a right jab. Ringo Starr, John Lennon and Paul McCartney are each playfully reacting to Ali’s punch with unique facial expressions. A swarm of photographers and onlookers can be seen in the background of the image of the once-in-a-lifetime moment. The signature comes with PSA/DNA certification number 3A75025.
