Winter Auction 2016 Closing January 30th

Lot #6: Rocky Marciano Worn Boxing Robe (Marciano Family LOA, Hamilton LOA)

Description

Our offering of a robe from the family of Rocky Marciano is one not to be missed as The Brockton Blockbuster's personal effects rarely come up for auction and robes even less so. This calf-length, brown satin robe with white trim comes with a handwritten bill of sale from Lou Marciano, Rocky's brother, who has attributed this robe as being owned by 'The Rock'. Although, evidence of fight worn footage using this robe was not found, the robe could have been used in one of many exhibitions and appearances by Marciano. He attended many events and charity functions during his title reign and subsequent retirement right up until his untimely death in 1969. The script name “Rocky Marciano” is sewn upon the back. It has natural aging evident and comes with a letter of opinion from boxing expert Craig Hamilton, attesting to the family provenance of the robe and other positive attributes. This is an extraordinary chance to add a Marciano garment item to your collection. Comes with LOA's from Lou Marciano, & Craig Hamilton of JO Sports, Inc.
